Preventing Violence Through Partnership
Building bridges between youth, police, and community
B.O.L.D. Teens works to prevent violence and crime in our community by partnering with community groups and supporting public safety initiatives. Since 2006, we expanded our focus to increase peace and reduce crime, partnering with the Codman Square Neighborhood Council. Our programs: 1. MOVIE NIGHTS: Free summer movies at Dr. Loesch Family Park with refreshments, creating safe family gathering spaces. 2. YOUTH POLICE CONNECTION: Created in 2007, working with Boston Police Districts B-3, C-11 and the Safe Streets Team to break down barriers through dialogue, basketball games, and shared activities. 3. PEACE INITIATIVES: Supporting Mayor Walsh’s ‘Your Piece for Peace’ and working with B-SMART to reduce community violence.
