Improving Community Health Through Youth Action

Addressing heart disease, lung cancer, obesity, and diabetes through advocacy

B.O.L.D. Teens works to improve the health of our community by addressing major health inequities including heart disease, lung cancer, obesity, and diabetes. Our four focus areas: 1. TOBACCO CONTROL: From our 1998 victory convincing the Boston Globe to stop tobacco ads, to the 2020 statewide flavored tobacco ban, we lead the fight. Current teens now combat illicit vape sales. 2. FOOD: Through the Codman Square Farmers Market and Summer Eats program, we bring healthier food options to our community. 3. FITNESS: Playtime in the Park and recreation activities promote active lifestyles for all ages. 4. PRODUCTS: We educate community members on product safety and health impacts.
